Daily meter check-in
Your SimpleSUB meter(s) check-in and report usage once per day. This occurs at the time of your initial installation starting 24 hours after the install.
For example, if you initially install your SimpleSUB device at 10:00am then it will start the daily check-in process at 10:00am the next day and everyday moving forward. Your meter will then show partial usage for the current day which will be midnight to 10am when the meter checked in last. If you check at 3pm, you will only see the current day's usage up until 10am.
This graph of usage shows full usage data for November 1st, but only partial data for November 2nd usage up until check-in time.
If your meter misses its daily check-in, the usage data will be stored until the meter is able to make the connection the next day. If the connection is missed 3 days in a row, the meter will try to find a new cellular tower/carrier 12 hours after the last missed check-in. When it establishes the new connection, this timing will be the new daily check-in time for the meter and the usage data will dump into the hour that it reconnects.
